We have been here as a firm of solicitors for over 150 years. We aim to combine the local knowledge and friendly, efficient service of a traditional firm, with the latest developments in legal work and the use of modern information technology.

Our office is in the centre of Buxton, a market town in the Peak District of Derbyshire. We are well placed to serve clients from Macclesfield, Bakewell, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills, Glossop and the High Peak. 

We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday we are also available on Tuesday by appointment from 9am to 7pm on Tuesday. We are also able to see clients outside those hours, at weekends and at home. We have access suitable for the disabled and downstairs interview rooms.

If you need advice on any legal problem then please contact us and we will arrange for you to see an appropriate legal adviser.  At the initial appointment we will discuss your problem and assess whether we can help. We will also explain our system of charging fees. If at that point you do not wish to proceed, then you will be under no obligation. If you do wish to go on, then we can get down to business.

We hold a franchise from the Legal Services Commission and we can undertake publicly funded work (formerly called Legal Aid) in the areas of Divorce, Family Law and Crime.
